3rd of April

Today our day started at school around 10. At first we went to the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón where we could admire the beautiful views and seals. We could see huge pieces of ice in a huge lake. We took many beautiful pictures and had a nice walk towards the ocean. It was interesting that the level of the water in the ocean was higher than the level in the lake. The tide was going in towards the lagoon.

Our next stop was the house of the famous Islandic writer Þórbergur Þórðarson, where we could visit the museum and see how he had lived. The most interesting fact was that the Icelandic language hasn’t changed throughout the time and it is possible to read the first book that was written in Iceland without an effort.

Then we went to Lilja’s farm Hestgerði where we could see a lot of sheep and we ate some hot dogs for lunch. There was also a very nice waterfall next to the house.

Our next stop was the stable in Lækjarhús where we saw and touched a lot of horses. That was pretty cool and we had a lot of fun. We were there around an hour and then we went to the big cow farm Flatey where we could feed and touch the cows.

Our day was a lot of fun, but also a bit tiring and we were happy to rest a bit at our houses at the end of the day.
