31th of March

Our journey started at 3:00 a.m. at the bus station in Wrocław. We slept 4 hours of our travel to Berlin’s airport. With positive attitude and great excitement we started our day with coffee and waited about 5 hours for the flight. We spent around 4 hours in the air and when we noticed Iceland below us we couldn’t resist the temptation of sticking our faces to the windows.

After a short visit in a hostel we set off to sightsee Reykjavik. Although weather conditions were really tough (huge wind) we admired the beauty of the capital of Iceland. We visited the Pearl, where we were charmed by a stunning view. Later we saw the church Hallgrímskirkja, but unfortunately it was closed. We took a little walk to the most expensive building in Iceland – Harpa – with its modern, lava-like shape concert hall. After that we went to see the building of the Icelandic Parliament Alþingi and the Cathedral Dómkirkjan, which surprised us with its simplicity. Afterwards we came back to our hostel to eat something, rest and prepare ourselves for the next day’s adventures.
