Friday 17th of March

Last but not least. Friday was our last day In Iceland so everybody was sad that we had to go back home. The Polish group left at 8:00 from the school. We didn’t have a lot of time to say our goodbyes but we hugged the Icelandic group and told them that we would meet again.

After short period in the bus, we came to a beautiful place near the ocean, the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón. The view was breathtaking. Everywhere we looked we saw ice, some of them even looked like ice sculptures. The weather was nice and the sun bounced on the water surface. After that, we walked over the road to see the beautiful Glacier Lagoon. In the lagoon were huge icebergs. We also saw seals, which were swimming near the coast.

The next stop was in the town Vík where were able to go to the sea and buy souvenirs in local souvenir shop.

Because of traffic from Selfoss to Reykjavík we weren’t able to visit Reykjavík so we drove on the south side of the Reykjanes peninsula. First, we stopped at an old beautiful church named Strandakirkja. Then we went to see the Blue Lagoon. It was amazing. The weather had been beautiful that day so we were sad that we had to leave Iceland.

Unfortunately, it was time to go to the airport. We went to the duty free shop and bought our last souvenirs from Iceland. At 21:15, we had our flight to Katowice. At 2:00 we were yet again in Poland and drove with the bus to Wroclaw to our school.

The trip to Iceland was an amazing experience. We had the possibility to meet new people and see beautiful places; nothing that you would be able to find in Poland. I’m sure that some of the friendships will stay forever and I hope to meet all of the Icelandic group soon again.
